Drive category revenue and profitability through optimized assortment, inventory, supplier management, successful product launches. effective promotions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Operations) to introduce new products, services, and marketing initiatives.

Job Purpose

Strategically manage and grow the Shopping product categories by driving consumer-centric assortment planning, optimizing profitability — from market research and product strategy to pricing, promotions, and supplier management. The Category Manager ensures the right mix of products, pricing, and promotions to meet customer needs and business goals, while staying ahead of market trends in the Shopping / Retail industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences, translating insights into actionable plans.
  • Design and implement comprehensive category management strategies to achieve business goals and expand market presence.
  • Lead new product launches and lifecycle management within the category
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure cost efficiencies, optimize margins, and enhance supplier partnerships.
  • Partner with marketing teams to define product messaging, positioning, and promotional strategies aligned with brand objectives.
  • Formulate and execute pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to optimize profitability, balancing consumer value perception and market dynamics.
  • Stay abreast of industry innovations, competitor activities, and new technologies to provide forward-looking recommendations to senior management.
  • Evaluate customer feedback and implement enhancements to improve overall customer experience and loyalty.
